I bought the Triton II to upgrade from the G6 and the difference is amazing! The flavor abounds and great vapor production! I am impressed by the simple design, the ability to vape either mouth to lung (higher resistance) or direct to lung (lower resistance) with the option to change out the coils. The ability to control the airflow is a big plus in my book with that same idea in mind. It's also easy to change the coils and clean the unit. I love that the charge input is at the bottom of the unit as well which allows one to use it while charging The batteries are strong enough to last me a whole day. I have used other devices in the past and this little unit stands the test for beginners and advanced users looking for an on the go device that is quite economical. I was looking for simplicity as well as a device geared more towards MTL that allows for greater flavor (it also saves on e-juice!). So economically this is what I have been looking for in addition to a more powerful device than the G6 with the same benefits of more advanced and bulkier setup. I have no desire to chase clouds, but rather looking for great flavor and this device is a 10 in my opinion because you do get both in a smaller package vs. the more advanced units. It allows the option to go sub-ohm with the High-VG juice and .5 coil; open the air flow and get great flavor and very decent vapor should you choose (with the wide bore mouthpiece) to do DL vaping. This product is an all around winner in my book! Great job Halo!!
I started vaping using the Triton II based on reviews I read elsewhere and I was very pleased with this unit. It vapes very well, is easy to use, easy to carry, easy to fill and produces a very nice taste. Try it for yourself!
I have had many kits and my complaints are always that they are to big and bulky, they don't produce enough smoke or they leak. I have had the Triton II for two weeks now and I'm extremely pleased. I love that two come in the kit and I could not have imagined a better device. Definitely 5-stars!
This is the best "plug and play" mouth to lung kit on the market, and believe me I have tried them all, over 50 brands. The batteries have micro usb charge with indicator lights, as well as being super light and small. The GS air tank included with the device does not leak, and is my preferred bottom-fill design. I prefer bottom-fills cause they do not gurgle when refilled, but the main advantage is you can change your coil at any time, even with a full tank, and never waste any juice. The GS air coils are fantastic. They simply never give a dry hit. I have chain vaped the 0.75 ohm coil, and it has incredible throat hit as well as the best vapor of any mouth to lung tank I have used. Please note, you CAN do a restricted direct lung hit by opening the airflow, but make sure if you do so to use a lower nicotine level, I would recommend no higher than 12mg. With the airflow tight, the 0.75 coil works brilliantly with Halo 24mg juice, with a powerful defined throat hit that really packs a punch.
Look, it's a very basic and very easy kit.. It looks good and it works well.
There are a few cons. However I maintain that this kit, especially for the price, deserves a 5-star rating. Nevertheless, the cons are as follows - There is no battery power indicator.. Many small 510 batteries these days have a color system so you know when the battery is low. The Triton II battery just flashes and dies. So if you are going out, I recommend charging 2 and taking them with you. Secondly, the airflow ring on the tank is a portable design and quite loose.. It flips on and off.. surely useful for those who don't want any restriction and to just leave it off, but not for me where it find it too fiddly.. nevertheless, I always find the right setting (almost completely closed). Thirdly, all four of my batteries have button rattle. Not a deal breaker, but it's there. Now the biggest con are the 1.2 and 1.5 ohm coil.. I need to be clear here.. they are GREAT coils, but the Triton II battery simply does not provide enough power for them. However, being 100% 510 compatible, you can use it on any 510 mod, including of course any of the Halo Reactor line. The 1.2 ohm needs around 20-25 watts and the 1.5 ohm needs around 15 for a good vape.
Halo chose the correct coil to include with the kit, as the 0.75ohm couldn't be matched any better with the Triton II battery.
There are a lot more pros than cons. The cotton coils have great flavor, and although the tanks are only 2ml, the coils do not guzzle through juice at all. The batteries are so comfortable to hold and press the button, and do not stand out if you want to be discrete. On all but the iridescence there is a slight rubbery grippy feel to them. Lovely. The tanks are made of glass, therefore you can put ANY juice you like in them.. The GS air coils can even handle High-VG juice i have found, if that's your thing. They wick beautifully. The batteries are incredibly easy to clean. The tanks do not leak. The coils last for many refills. The throat hit as mentioned is stupendous, and so on. The price is fantastic value. Halo always deliver the goods as you get two batteries and tanks, and a full bottle of juice. Halo also includes a wider airflow drip tip for those who prefer more of a direct lung experience. This is really the simplest starter kit around that just works every single time. Just remember, with the included batteries, the 0.75 ohm coil is where it's at. Also, the tanks work with eleaf's magnetic adapter and fit into the istick basic..I have used them on my istick basic as well as various 510 batteries/mods and they works great. I will be buying more of these kits in different colors, because this is kind of my desert island vape. If i just wanted to enjoy every puff and not have any hassle with settings, this is what I reach for. Highly recommended!
I'm a long time Triton user and still love them...but wanted something new. I tried a number of mods and sub-ohm devices and just didn't like them. They were too strong or too messy, too big or they leaked, etc. I got the Triton II today and it hits great and is not crazy hard on my lungs. The flavor production is excellent on my High-VG Turkish Tobacco blend and the unit is SUPER EASY to fill and use! Best of all, it's still the size of a Triton, so it fits in my shirt pocket discreetly. It's the perfect sub-ohm device for me...and probably for you!!
