This is "my" battery for as long as Halo manufactures them. The instructions are detailed, which I love, and extraordinarily well written. My first battery was my first attempt at stepping up from a much smaller cylinder battery that only allowed you to change the wattage by rotating a ring at the bottom of the battery. I did a LOT of research about what safety features one should look for in a battery, and this one has all of them. I can't begin to tell you how many times I have dropped the batteries due to my own negligence, and I have never had ANY damage, not even cosmetic damage. I also have to share with everyone that Halo's customer support is fantastic. I have interacted with them twice; the first time was "operator" error (me) and they were extremely helpful and patient with me. For some reason, the newer top fill tanks and I don't play well together; I had the same problem with another manufacturer's top fill tank, so there is clearly nothing wrong with their top fill-it's, just that I prefer a bottom fill. Halo was gracious enough that when I ordered a second starter kit, I asked if they would send it with the bottom fill tank rather than the top fill. They did so, cheerfully, and even adjusted the price down since the bottom fill cost less than the top fill. If you are like me, I do not like customer service where it is obvious that the person I am talking to is someone for whom English is clearly not their native language, and/or you have to select multiple "options" to even reach a person. While my interaction with them has been via email, their response was always quick and it was obvious that their personnel really knew their products. So what more could a customer ask for? Halo and their products are GREAT!
Great mod had an old Eleaf 40w before and this is heavier but the battery lasts me about 1 1/2 days battery does seem to rattle inside of it and sometimes it doesn't want to fire. I only had it for 3 weeks so we'll see if it holds up.
One powerful battery and more power than I need but better to have more power than not enough. I keep mine at about 5.2 to 5.4 volts or 420F to 450F, which is on the high end and get around two days before I charge but I also don't let it drain all the way down. It charges relatively quickly, but I also have other Reactors and a Tracer Twist on hand so I'm not going without while charging, plus, I usually charge when sleeping. Again, the only complaint is that it charges from the bottom but I don't understand why any one feels the need to charge it lying down, as I have read in some reviews, you just hang the edge off a table and that works just fine, so not a big deal. The majority off the battery stays on the table so it won't and hasn't ever fallen off. So, certainly not a deterrent, compared to the quality, power and long life off the battery. This battery blows all other away with it's temp, voltage, and wattage control. You can lock to keep the settings where you want them and lock in the coil resistance too. Definitely a battery that has it all :)
The Reactor battery is fantastic! It has never let me down. One huge plus is how you can use it while it's charging. My only complaint is how the "Wood Grain" version has the bright blue Halo logo. This is the only version with a blue logo, and it just isn't aesthetically pleasing. It would have made more sense to go with black, or even gold.
The Reactor mod is by far my favorite, I chose this mod over a HEXOM. The settings for this mod are incredibly customizable, which makes having nickel coils far easier than it is on other mods. It clouds absolutely wonderfully, and even for a cloud-chaser like myself, the battery lasts anywhere between 12 and 20 hours depending on how much puffing I do.
