I have been using the Triton 1 for about a year and a half. Really enjoyed it, until they discontinued the coils/tanks, etc. Just received the Triton 2 today. While the hit and taste are improved, the noise while taking a hit is incredibly loud. So much so, that I would imagine it will annoy friends while we are out. Wife asked from the next room if I heard that weird noise(it was the Triton 2). Going to give it a couple days to see if I can live with it. Probably going to see if they will accept a return.
Alright, so I have now been using the Triton II for about 6 months. I started using it to quit smoking cigarettes. I have successfully used it to do that. I started on 24mg nicotine and stepped down 1 level every 60ml. I am now on 3mg. So that’s great. A full tank lasts me about 6 hours. I noticed with less nicotine it burns up a little bit faster. But, I can still get around 6 hours on a tank. Now I’m going to give you a review of each component:
Tanks - the tanks have a couple problems. The twisty thing that controls air flow constantly moves and jiggles. 4 tanks and they all have this problem. You cannot set the air flow and expect it to stay put. Also, the mouthpiece on two of my tanks stays loose. They constantly slip out. Sometimes I have no idea where I lost my mouthpieces and have to go searching. One last note on the tanks: my daughter stepped on it and broke it into individual pieces. They’re sturdy enough for normal use, but make sure not to put pressure on them.
Batteries - The batteries are the worst component. At first, they lasted nearly 8 hours on a full charge. Now I’m lucky to get 4-6 hours. There is a noticeable difference in power right after a charge on my older batteries versus my new ones as well. The batteries just seem to go bad after 2 or3 months. They still work, but not like when they’re new.
Coils - these are great when you learn to properly prime them. I made a few mistakes at first and burned several because I didn’t prime them. I’d say replacement of these is necessary every month or two.
All in all the device is ok. I wish there were some changes to the device. It would be much more premium if mods were made to the design, but it does work to quit smoking.
The Triton II is by far the best vape pen I have ever used. It has a nice weight and heavy quality feel that feels natural in your hand. You can really feel the power behind every draw you take, and every draw is smooth and consistent. The price for the starter kit is an awesome deal...it is worth every penny, plus some. All in all, Halo makes a fantastic product that I would recommend to anyone, whether you're new to vaping or a seasoned vaper. Thank you Halo, you have found a loyal customer. (The shipping was quick too...even during the holiday season).
I used two different pen vapes before giving in to the Triton II, and it was the best decision I've made.
The pen is sleek and portable, and the components are easy to assemble for beginners, especially if you're looking for a little bit of a bigger tank compared to other pens. The clouds are moderate but will satisfy the everyday vaper. I prefer the .75 OHM that they sent in the kit, but there are other OHMs available for this specific pen.
I urge everyone who has problems with resembling the pen, when refilling, to clean the coil with a napkin and twist back in. When you open the pen, the coil likes to twist open with it, it doesn't get stuck, but maybe it's a design flaw.
Even though I love this pen, I had to dock a star down for specifically the tank/battery weight difference (since the tank is heavier than the battery it makes it top heavy), the battery light is way too bright and could wake up light sleepers if charged in the same room, and the coil unscrewing whenever I refill.
These tiny flaws can be overlooked extremely easily and it is overall amazing.
This is the best vape pen I have purchased thus far and the starter kit was excellent. I definitely got my money's worth, and it's so nice to vape with a pen that doesn't spit and gives me a smooth draw. Definitely recommend this unit for those who are new to vaping or wanting to step up from basic e-cigs or other mediocre vape pens, of which there are many. I also like that the kit allowed me to choose my juice of choice and the level of nicotine, as I'm using vaping to end my addiction to nicotine. So thankful for this unit, the options, and the fact the juices are made in the USA.
