Vape Travel Guide: 10 Best Places to See Fall Foliage

Sightseeing season has arrived! It’s the time to put on your sweaters, drink hot cocoa, and watch the leaves change colors. Here are some locations in the United States with must-see fall foliage:

Vermont

Stowe is a great fall getaway. Located in the Green Mountains, Stowe was named the best destination to see fall foliage in 2015. After touring the area to see the radiant reds, yellows, and oranges, be sure to check out the vintage shops and restaurants in the town.

Colorado

Aspen has the ideal weather during fall. The mornings are cool, excellent with Café Mocha, but the temperature during the day is perfect. The city is named for its lush aspen trees, which turn to a blazing golden yellow.

Ridgway is a popular tourist town in Colorado. Glacier-fresh snow occupies the mountains during the winter, but bright reds and golden yellows appear during the autumn season. The Grammy trophies are created in Ridgway, but this town should be the one receiving an award for how stunning the autumn colors are next to the blue sky. It’s an experience you don’t want to miss!

California

Calistoga in Napa County is part of California’s Wine Country. It’s known for its numerous wineries and hot springs, but its real attraction shows throughout this time of year. In Calistoga, the fall colors aren’t limited to just trees. The grape vine leaves also change from green to beautiful yellows and reds. For a truly breathtaking experience, you can ride an aerial gondola up to a hilltop winery to see the dazzling colors throughout the mountains from above.

Kentucky

Bardstown is called the bourbon capital of the world, but you should still visit the town if you aren’t a bourbon drinker. In 2012, Bardstown was named the most beautiful small town in America, and it lives up to that name. Bardstown’s downtown historic buildings are impeccable alongside the autumn views.

Michigan

At Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Ontonagon County, you can get a cabin or motel to see trees with a variety of fall colors. You can hike tree-lined trails, go fishing, and check out countless waterfalls. The exhilarating open wilderness would be wonderful with Freedom Juice. The park also contains Copper Peak, the highest unobstructed view in the Midwest. This spot will allow you to see miles of autumn colors and the shimmering waters of Lake Superior, making for a splendid fall foliage picture.

Arkansas

Ozark National Forest is a recommended spot for nature lovers. The tallest mountain in Arkansas is in this forest, overlooking more than 1.2 million acres of scenery. Here, you will be able to see a rainbow of reds, oranges, and yellows for miles. The forest offers recreational options like camping, hiking, and picnic sites to enhance the fall traveling experience.

Georgia

Amicalola Falls State Park houses one of Georgia’s seven natural wonders, Amicalola Falls, which is Georgia’s tallest waterfall. You can stop along a bridge right in front of the falls to get a postcard-perfect selfie with the waterfall and trees in the background.

North Carolina/Virginia

Just north of Amicalola Falls State Park is Blue Ridge Parkway, a national parkway beginning near Asheville, North Carolina and ending close to Charlottesville, Virginia. The 469-mile-long road is known as “America’s favorite drive.” This scenic roadway takes you by forests, campgrounds, and the Blue Ridge Mountains to see the changing colors.
