The Lollapalooza Experience: 5 Things You Need to Know

The Lollapalooza Experience: 5 Things You Need to Know

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to dig out your crop tops and old basketball jerseys. Lollapalooza is back with even more hand waves, head nods, and hollering crowds.

Since 1991, Lollapalooza has provided a platform for alternative rock, heavy metal, punk rock, hip hop, and EDM bands and artists. The music festival attracts more than 160,000 people over a two or three-day period, and this year will be no exception.

Here’s what you can expect from Lollapalooza this year:

Diverse Artist Lineup

Music is in Lollapalooza’s DNA. With eight stages and 170 plus bands from all over the world, you’ll get your fair share of entertainment. Music festival favorite, Lorde, will be there along with popular bands such as The Killers, Muse, Blink-182, Foster the People, and Cage the Elephant. Check out the full artist lineup and schedule here.

Chow Town

If the number one reason people attend Lollapalooza is for the music then the second reason is for the food. It’s called Chow Town for only one reason – delicious food. Take a bite of Chicago’s famous deep dish pizza at Lou Malnati’s, dine in at The World Famous Billy Goat Tavern for a taste of the Original Chicago Burger, or cool off with an ice cream cone from Original Rainbow Cone. By the end of the weekend your friends will have to roll you out of Lollapalooza! #NoRagrets

More than Music

You can enjoy more than just music at Lollapalooza. Each year the music festival partners with popular brands and lifestyle goods to help enhance the Lollapalooza experience. This year’s vendors include FYE Music Tent, Godiva, Baizaar, Mana Culture, Festy Besty, and so much more.

Luxury Perks

By now we hope you already purchased your general admission tickets because they’re all sold out. However, there are still tickets for the Lollapalooza Aftershows & Afterparties. But if you prefer to experience Lollapalooza in style then you’re in luck because VIP and Premium packages are all that’s left. We have a feeling you won’t be complaining though when you see the all-day perks.

Lolla Gives Back

While you’re jamming to your favorite artists, you’ll be happy to know that Lollapalooza is bringing awareness to important causes and organizations. Some of the organizations you’ll see scattered throughout Grant Park this year are: Headcount, Chainlinks, International Rescue Committee, Love Hope Strength Foundations, Musicares, and much more.

Like other music festivals, Lollapalooza is not vape-friendly so get your fill of your favorite e-liquids prior to entering Grant Park. We’re not sure what’s got people drinking so much haterade.

Despite being vape free this weekend, there’s still much fun to be had so turn up our Lollapalooza playlist and rock out!
