Halo Retailer Spotlight: Vapor Authority of San Diego, CA

Halo Retailer Spotlight: Vapor Authority of San Diego, CA

Mike Ebrahimi considers Vapor Authority THE source of information for all things vaping, and credits customer referrals as the secret to his business’ success …

Halo: Where did your store name come from?

Mike: From the inception of the company, we have always been steadfastly dedicated to offering a wide selection of authentic products at the best possible prices. We have also been committed to providing the most information possible about each individual product, as well as vaping in general. This is why our product descriptions are so long and informative, and also why we write regular blogs about important and helpful topics. In short, we have always strived to be an authority within the vaping industry.

Halo: How long have you been in business?

Mike: Four years.

Halo: Do you have more than one location?

Mike: We have our location in San Diego, but we are mostly an online company. We have customers from all around the world.

Halo: Why did you start selling vape products?

Mike: My business partner, Todd, and I were both cigarette smokers. I was a pack-a-day, while Todd was slightly below that. After several failed attempts to quit smoking in the past, we found it remarkably easy to kick the habit using e-cigarettes. As with most individuals, we first started with the gas station disposables, but soon after purchased what was the best product at the time. We immediately realized the wonder of these products, and knew that it was something we wanted to be a part of. A handshake, a couple of months, and a few grand later, Vapor Authority was born.

Halo: What do you like best about selling vape products?

Mike: I, as well as everyone who works here at Vapor Authority, absolutely love the fact that we are in a business that genuinely helps people. This aspect of the business is unquestionably the most rewarding to us. Another characteristic that I like is being a part of a rapidly growing and exciting industry. We have witnessed firsthand the sensational speed at which new products and technologies are released, which brings an element of fun and excitement to the job.

Halo: What’s special about your store?

Mike: We were voted second in customer service in the recent Guide to Vaping “Best of” event. The reason is that we are an honest company that sincerely puts our customers first. We offer phone support, live chat, as well as email support, to ensure that our customers are always taken care of. Vapor Authority carries only 100% authentic products purchased directly from the manufacturer or an authorized distributor. We go above and beyond, which helps explain why we not only have an exceptionally high customer retention rate, but why the vast majority of our business comes from referrals.

Halo: What’s your customers’ favorite Halo flavor?

Mike: Number one is Tribeca, followed by SubZero.

Halo: What’s the first/most common question customers ask you?

Mike: The majority of our phone calls are from those who wish to turn to vaping as an alternative to smoking. They generally want help selecting the best products to suit their needs, as well as some guidance for using them.

Halo: Do you vape?

Mike: Like a fog machine. Since 2012.

Halo: What does vaping mean to you?

Mike: Vaping is my life. It’s not only a source of income, but also something that holds a very dear place in my heart due to what it has done for me.

Halo: What’s your favorite Halo flavor?

Mike: Halo would be Malibu, and eVo would be Fuzzy Summer.

Halo: Do you think the public has misconceptions about vaping?

Mike: Most definitely. I can’t express how many times I have been forced to educate friends, family, and even strangers regarding the truth about vaping. They are fed misinformation, oftentimes through social media. I have written a few articles on the topic, which can be found on my company’s blog.
