Halo Retailer Spotlight: Peace Out Vapes of North Carolina

Halo Retailer Spotlight: Peace Out Vapes of North Carolina

Lee Bauguess turned her personal passion into a thriving vaping business with seven locations. We’ll let her tell you the rest of the Peace Out Vapes story …

Halo: Where did your store name come from?

Lee: I have an apron with a frog holding up peace sign with his fingers. Loved it. So it stuck.

Halo: How long have you been in business?

Lee: We opened in August of 2013.

Halo: Do you have more than one Peace Out Vapes location?

Lee: We have four sole-owned stores and three franchise locations. Seven total.

Halo: Why did you start selling vape products?

Lee: I went to a store because I had decided I wanted to stop smoking. I bought my first (vaping) kit … and it worked. I stopped smoking. I became very passionate about it, so decided to open my first store in Kernersville and from that point it was on.

Halo: What do you like best about selling vape products?

Lee: I love helping people. You have people that have smoked for 30+ years and have come to you. To be on this journey with them is one of the best feelings in the world.

Halo: What’s special about your store?

Lee: Peace Out Vapes stores each have their own feel about them. It is a very chill and relaxed atmosphere so everyone will be comfortable and not feel like the hassle of a department store. From day one our customer service is what we thrive on. We will spend as much time as needed to make sure every customer is set up with the best device to suit their needs. Every customer is different so we want to make sure they are getting what will work best for them.

Halo: What’s your customers’ favorite Halo flavor?

Lee: Tribeca is our top for tobacco and Sub Zero for our menthol. Those flavors blow out the door.

Halo: How often and how long have you vaped?

Lee: A lot all day. For almost three and a half years.

Halo: What does vaping mean to you?

Lee: It means everything. I love what it has done for me personally as well as the overall effects to those around me.

Halo: What’s your favorite Halo flavor?

Lee: Well it was Twisted Java. I could not put it down. But then I fell in love with the Kringle’s Curse.

Halo: Do you think the public has misconceptions about vaping?

Lee: Yes, definitely. One reason is because of simply not knowing about it. What it is made of. They see vape and assume it has everything in it like cigarettes and they automatically consider it bad and, unfortunately, the media and news only report or post partial statements or mishaps to make it look bad or unsafe.

Halo: If there were an e-liquid named after your personality, what would it be called?

Lee: Peace, Love and Happiness

Halo: What’s your favorite quote?

Lee: “Dream as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow.”

Peace Out Vapes has seven locations in the Winston-Salem and Greensboro, North Carolina areas. Be sure to stop in and say hello!
