Halo Customer Spotlight: Ramon from North Carolina

Halo Customer Spotlight: Ramon from North Carolina

Ramon was completely fed up with smelling like smoke, so he tried vaping. After vaping for four years, Ramon has lowered his nicotine usage from 24mg to 6mg.

Halo: What made you start vaping?

Ramon: I got completely fed up with smelling like smoke, coughing, unable to hike up a mountain without frequent rest stops, and the overall stigma around smoking by the public.

Halo: How has vaping changed your life?

Ramon: Well, I have more money, I breathe easier every day, and I rarely cough anymore. My clothes smell clean, my car smells clean, did I mention that I spend way less as a vaper than I was as a smoker?

Halo: Do you vape nicotine containing products? If so, what level nicotine do you use?

Ramon: I do still use nicotine. I’m currently at 6mg. When I first started I was using 24 and 18mg.

Halo: How long have you been vaping?

Ramon: I have been vaping exclusively for a little over four years.

Halo: What flavors do you vape?

Ramon: Dessert, fruity, and tobacco.

Halo: What hobbies are you involved in now that you couldn’t do when you smoked cigarettes?

Ramon: Hiking and walking.

Halo: What’s your favorite e-liquid flavor? Why?

Ramon: It’s hard to pick a favorite. I mix it up among six flavors – half tobacco, half fruit/dessert. I guess my favorite would be Solar Smash or Insomnia (from our eVo line).

Halo: What’s the number one thing you want people to know about vaping?

Ramon: It can change your life from a doomed inhaler of several carcinogens to a simple nicotine consumer, and give you back your breath!!

Halo: What advice would you give to someone who is trying to quit smoking?

Ramon: Visualize yourself as a non-smoker. Develop a negative view of cigarettes and smoking. Feed that image every day.

Halo: What is something unique about you?

Daryl: I’m willing to help others that need a hand up without any ulterior motives.

Halo: What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? Why?

Ramon: A knife for creating shelter and other survival essential functions, a container for water and cooking, and a fire starter stick – fire is essential to most survival situations.

Halo: What’s your favorite quote?

Ramon: “Worry is the darkroom where negatives are developed.” -Wanda Brunstetter

Halo: What makes you happy?

Ramon: I make me happy. It’s a personal choice. Making that choice allows me to enjoy all the gifts that life offers – blue skies, children’s laughter, a dog’s devotion, family, friends, nature, a gentle breeze. I could go on.

Halo: What animal best describes your personality? Why?

Ramon: I’ve always admired a bald eagle. They’re free and self-reliant.

Halo: Who’s your hero?

Ramon: My son. He served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan and came home to start a family.

Halo: What are your pet peeves?

Ramon: Intolerant attitudes and doctrines, raging self-obsession, and vanity.

Halo: If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Ramon: Strawberry shortcake. Why? Really?

Halo: Are you an early riser or a night owl?

Ramon: Early riser. I’m up at 5 a.m. like clockwork. I haven’t relied on an alarm clock in over 10 years.

Halo: If you could share a meal with any individual(s), living or dead, who would it be? Why?

Ramon: My Dad because I miss being able to share time with him and his wisdom.
