Halo Customer Spotlight: John from New York

Halo Customer Spotlight: John from New York

John has been vaping for almost two years. He believes you don’t have to kill yourself to enjoy the taste of tobacco and effects of nicotine.

Halo: What made you start vaping?

John: I tried repeatedly to quit smoking using patches, gums, and even mouth tobacco. After losing a tooth due to gum recession, I turned to friends who vape and decided to give it a try.

Halo: How has vaping changed your life?

John: I no longer smoke or use tobacco, I haven’t lost any more teeth and my gums have not only stopped receding, they’ve regrown. I have more energy, breathe easier, and my wife says I don’t stink. I have peace of mind – my conscience is clearer now that I’m not ingesting known carcinogens.

Halo: Do you vape nicotine containing products? If so, what level nicotine do you use?

John: I’m vaping mouth-to-lung style at 9-12 mgs of nicotine.

Halo: How long have you been vaping?

John: 22 months.

Halo: What flavors do you vape?

John: Dessert and tobacco.

Halo: What hobbies are you involved in now that you couldn’t do when you smoked cigarettes?

John: Biking and general gym workouts.

Halo: What’s your favorite Halo flavor? Why?

John: Freedom Juice. It’s a great tobacco blend that easily replaced the analog flavor I was used to.

Halo: What’s the number one thing you want people to know about vaping?

John: You don’t have to kill yourself to enjoy the taste of tobacco and effects of nicotine.

Halo: What is something unique about you?

John: I’ve learned that being a lefty and slightly dyslexic isn’t a total handicap. It turns out I can write backwards, meaning from right to left as well as left to right; Like DaVinci did in his journals – though I’m nowhere near as inventive or artistic as he was. My personal handwritten journals are encrypted and are smudge free (lefties smear their penmanship as they drag their hand writing left to right).

Halo: What’s your favorite quote?

John: Since there’s a few and I’m having a hard time choosing, let’s go with this one in honor of Nicopure’s mission and the ever helpful and supportive vaping community:
“What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.” -Albert Pike (1809-1891)

Halo: Who’s your hero?

John: There are a number of people I respect and look towards, and a handful that have cared enough to reach out and guide me when I needed it most. Today I’m thinking of my sister Amy, a true example of power. Amy grew to become a staunch advocate for a special needs son and continues to be an example of perseverance even after we lost my nephew Nick to childhood leukemia. December 16 would have been Nick’s 19th birthday and today I received a Saint Nicholas Christmas ornament in the mail from Amy – she sent a remembrance to everyone in the family. To remain kind and loving after experiencing a personal tragedy, well, I think that’s heroic.

Halo: Who’d play you in a movie of your life?

John: A young Dennis Hopper would be fitting for my movie biography.

Halo: Cats or dogs?

John: Dogs, definitely.

Halo: Beach or mountains?

John: Tough one, I love mountains by the water, like Mount Cadillac in Acadia National Park. I summered there and have family that lives close by.

Halo: Pancakes or waffles?

John: Pancakes for a meal and waffles for dessert.
