Get to Know Halo: Our New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year! The start of a new year always brings about change in people. Whether they set goals to be healthier, travel more, or learn something new, it’s a nice way to transition into the year ahead.

Here are some of our New Year’s resolutions:

Become stronger and healthier

For my New Year’s resolution, I want to be active and exercise to become a stronger, healthier person. I am tired of being a wimp and not being able to handle heavy objects and long periods of being active. I really want to look and feel better by the time I get married on June 24, 2018. – Shira L., Proofreader

Maintain pizza habits

My only New Year’s resolution for 2018 is to not have pizza anymore. Or any less. – Patrick M., Senior Copywriter

Live in the moment

My goal for this year is to focus more on what’s in front of me, and less of what’s on my phone screen. – Christie E., Communications Specialist

Minimize left turns

To minimize, as much as possible, making left turns on my way to work. To fulfill this goal, I’ll have to find someplace to live that is at a straight angle in relation to the office, so that I am in a continuous right turn direction. A co-worker has noted that I will have uneven wear and tear on my passenger side tires and will be limited to fast food establishments with both a right and left order sequence. I’ll have to move, and the aforementioned irregularities will no doubt be a cause for some discomfort, but I feel as though the benefits of a right turn world far outweigh the sacrifices I will have to make. – Bill G., Operations

Start dancing again

My New Year’s resolution is to live a healthier lifestyle, and see if I can pick up dancing again. – Zenena M., Social Media Specialist

Less interaction with electronic devices

My one resolution is to turn off my electronic devices between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. I believe it will help me avoid making as many online purchases (save money), miss the doom and gloom news, and get a better night’s sleep. – Bill B., Account Manager
