9 Reasons ALL Vapers Should Own A Vape Pen
Remember the very first vaping device you ever purchased? For some of you, this may go back more than five years. Traditionally, a newcomer will begin their vaping odyssey with a vape pen, as it’s easy to use, lasts longer than a cig-a-like, and provides sufficient power. However, as vaping becomes less of a hobby and more of a lifestyle, we eventually reach the point where we desire a more a powerful and feature-rich device, such as a box mod and high capacity tube mod. If you’re currently using a vape pen and are considering a jump to a more advanced unit, don’t get rid of that vape pen just yet. To the seasoned vape aficionados, we salute you, but, stick around to see why we recommend you keep an open mind. In fact, we have nine excellent reasons ALL vapers should own a vape pen.
1. You Can Stealth Vape
Whether you’re with friends and family who don’t want you to vape around them or you’re uncomfortable vaping in public, there are a variety of reasons to stealth vape. To be clear, we definitely don’t condone vaping anywhere you wouldn’t smoke.
The majority of vape pens lack an atomizer that reads below one ohm and they don’t have the power found in your everyday box mod. The point is, both of these variables result in minimal vapor production, making your activity far less noticeable. In addition, vape pens aren’t as cumbersome as swankier mods, and also create an easier path to fly under the radar with.
2. Losing Your Vape Pen Won’t Mean the End of the World
Vape pens are significantly more affordable and accessible than box mods. Since vape pens won’t exactly break the bank, they’re especially convenient for keeping around as “beaters”. If you happen to misplace or lose your vape pen, it’s affordable enough, that it won’t be the end of the world.
3. You Won’t Be Tempted to Cloud Chase
A vape pen is not meant to be an intricate device as it’s specifically designed to deliver nicotine. Plain and simple, you can’t cloud chase with a vape pen. On the other hand, since they don’t push a ton of power, you have the option of using an e-liquid with a higher nicotine content. Hence, you can get a quick nicotine fix without interruption.
As mentioned earlier, vape pens don’t produce large vapor clouds, making it tolerable for non-vapers to be around in public settings. We can agree, the general public doesn’t care if your vapor clouds are harmless, regardless if it’s accidental, blowing ginormous clouds of vapor in a stranger’s face is not the best way to make friends! Like with anything, respect goes a long way.
4. Vape Pens Are Slim and Easy To Carry Around
On-the-go? No problem! Vape pens are thin and easy to carry around. In most cases, they can slip right into a pocket without feeling completely weighed down.
5. Vape Pens Charge Quickly
Battery size can be both a benefit and drawback. The small batteries used in vape pens make them portable, but even the best vape pens don’t hold a lot of charge. A decent 1300 mAh battery might not last you the entire day. Fortunately, due to their size, they tend to charge fairly quickly. A drained box mod battery however, can take a couple of hours to charge, but your vape pen can be fully charged and ready to use in under 30 minutes.
6. You Can Still Use Quality Tanks
Sub-ohm vaping may not be an option with vape pens, but there are a number of popular tanks and atomizers on the market that can still be utilized.
Just because vape pens require higher ohm atomizers and can’t push a ton of power, that doesn’t mean you can’t attain a satisfying vape. If you prefer warmer vapor, it can still achieved from a vape pen applying the same techniques that people would use with mechanical mods.
7. Sometimes it’s Nice to Change it Up
For vapers who use an RDA that has competition style airflow and like to take deep lungs hits, sometimes it’s nice to change things up by using a tight airflow system. Believe it or not, it can be relaxing. Give it a try!
8. You Can Keep Them as Backups
Whether you put your devices through the ringer or happen to be a doomsday prepper, vape pens are the quintessential backup units. For convenience, some vapers have a designated “workplace vape pen,” eliminating the need to constantly schlep their set-up back and forth.
Despite the diminutive appearance, vape pens are svelte and durable. That’s not to say that advanced mods aren’t reliable, but high-quality vape pens are typically assembled with very few components, and as a result, they’re less likely to break. Seriously consider a vape pen, especially if you work a rugged job where your vaporizer has the potential to be tossed around or exposed to unfavorable conditions.
Time to Break out the Vape Pen
As vaping becomes increasingly popular, hardware manufacturers will continue to produce cutting-edge devices. However, the fact of the matter is, vape pens are timeless, providing an ideal change of pace from the high-tech mods with all the bells and whistles. More importantly, they are dependable, fully-functional, and won’t cost you an arm and a leg! Wherever you fall in the vaping spectrum, even the most experienced vaper should own a vape pen!
